Iran’s ‘Lenz’ awarded at Gimpo festival

Iranian short film ‘Lenz’ is awarded at the Gimpo International Youth Film Festival in South Korea.

Iranian short film ‘Lenz’ has been awarded at the 4th Gimpo International Youth Film Festival in South Korea.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘Lenz’ won the Super Prize at the festival.

Written and directed by Amir-Hossein Tabbat, the film is about a man who intends to commit suicide, but a video camera and photography change his fate.

‘Lenz’ is starring Rahim Shabahang.              

‘Lenz’ previously received the award for best special vision film at the eighth edition of the Chuncheon Film Festival (CCFF) in South Korea.

The film also grabbed the Best Editing award at the 7th CinéStudent Film Festival in the US, and the Best Short Film award at the 13th International Youth Arts Festival in the UK.

The Gimpo International Youth Film Festival is a film festival for “kids” and “youth”.

The fourth edition of the festival took place on November 20-28.
